Our little girl is 9 today!

Today is Romy's birthday. Hoera!!

Romy is 9 today and she's growing up sooo fast!
I don't feel like someone with a nine year old yet.
I used to think that someone of 35 was 'old', but that was when I was a kid. But now I am 35 and got a nine year old kid I don't feel old.

I guess male 35 year old's are somewhat less mature than women? Although Anita doesn't feel that old too! She's 33 now. We think it's great being parents (at least most of the time). Hectic but fun!

We started today waking up at 7 to sing for Romy (brought a big candle along to her room) and unpacking gifts. After breakfast we had to hurry to get dressed and de-ice the car because we had to be at the swimmingpool at 8 for Tessa's 2nd swimminglesson. After that rush to our citycentre to pick up a cake and rush back home because the first visitors where expected at 10 AM.

We just cleared out the first batch... This afternoon is the Simons' batch. My parents, grandma (Oma oma Simons because she is my grandma and my mother is Oma Simons for Romy and Tessa) and my brother and his girlfriend. Maybee there will be more but we don't know.

Tonight is the Van de Ven batch and some friends.
