Heading for Xmas

So it's getting to that time of year again...
Being with the family whole days stuffing your face with lots of food and drinking far too much beer, wine or whatever containing alcohol. The last part is what sounds good to me now. I am not turning into an alcoholic. Don't worry! I was one by birth! Haha!

It's not that I focus on the drinking all the time. I've just come to enjoying the better drinks now that I earn some more money than I did over the last 7 years or so. Saving up some cash too. Not getting to real pleasure saving etc. but building a financial buffer and trying to get to the point where my Lady can learn to drive. She often dreams that she can drive and she would really like to learn because she wants to be ready for the moment when something happens to me. She wants to feel independent!

Alas, back to Xmas. The true spirit of Xmas... Where did it go?
It is turning into an event that forces people to thightly plan the days of joy because more and more people split up. End relations! So more and more people have to plan Xmas to be with dad on one day, mom on the other or the in-laws on one day, or with friends, etcetera.
Don't get me wrong, I love my mum and dad and my in-laws too. But people can really stress up from real life but stress up even more around Xmas because of the planning part.

Relax! Think of the true spirit of Xmas. Peace on earth in every man!

On the other hand there are people that you would want to be with at Xmas but you can't anymore! Let's think of those people at Xmas too! Remember them for who they were or who they could have been if they would have ever lived. Thinking about my grandparents, C's dad and our unborn baby boy Julian...

Peace and Love!

I know what you mean. Xmas should be a relaxing time and a time spent with those you love. It is a pity how much stress there is during the holidays. With the stress of everything I sometimes wonder why I even try to celebrate xmas day. Dont drink too much, but hoist one for me & I will do the same in igloo land for you!

Cheers! Proost! Skol! Zum Wohl!

I won't drink so much. I once had a black hole in my evening hearing things about last night that I didn't remember and I don't want that again. Ever!

This happened 17 years ago so I don't think I'll ever be an alcoholic! ;-)
