Don't you just hate that?
Man!
I'm sick of it!
You offer someone a favour and they except. You put time and effort in it and than they tell you that they don't want it anymore!
In this case I offered someone who I will not name here a computer because his is from the darkages.
So I started working on that computer. Reconfiguring, other parts, DVD etc.
Software....
And than he sends me an email that he's OK with his old puter because he knows that he will buy a new one in January.
Next time I'll wait till they ask again when I am ready for it before I even start working on that!!
I think I'll sell it before he changes his mind!

that isn't nice at all.
You are always so generous, and I hate it when people don't respect you!!
Send him a nice giant magnet, instead, and tell him to keep it right next to his current computer.
I almost got you, sarathena, a gawdy magnet when I was at the dutch cash & carry
Thanks for the tip!
I love magnets. How does one say that in Dutch? ik houd van magneten
I should've got you the gawdy magnet
Did I ever tell you about the time I got really drunk, several years ago, and ordered a pair of wooden shoes from somewhere in the NL? I forgot all about them until one day when a heavy box arrived. Imagine my surprise when I opened them to see two huge wooden shoes. I now wear them when I am especially cheerfully inebriated. They are good for stomping scorpions.
I always wore my dad's wooden shoes when I mowed the lawn. SEan took up that practice as well...
I sometimes wear Klompen when I'm pretending to be Tim the Toolman. They're great to have for walking aroud the house. They're a pain when it snowed 'cause snow sticks to them and soon you'll be walking 5" higher than when you started.
@Sara: Your Dutch is great!!
You even put a d at the end of houd. Many Dutch even don't do that right!
Might as well make some cash - someone will buy a cheap puter.
