Happy new year!!

Happy new year all of you!

The new year started at work too! I had been nrvous last weekend because this would be the first time I opened the new year in our software all alone... And why?

There is nothing to it really! But hey, That's me!
Worry about the day of tomorrow. I get a little insecure when I am tired I guess.
But we got this plan made up. The mrs and me.

We both are gonna shed a few (read: a lot for me) pounds.
www.voedingscentrum.nl states that I have a surplus in weight of a mere 35 kilos.
NOT really! Take off 35 kilos and I look like shit. They say that if you tell them your weight and heigth they know what your BMI is. Bullsh*t!! Not possible! I asked this guy at the gym and he says that if you build up on your muscle tissue you burn energy and fat all during the day too. I seem to gain weight since I started working out. NOT what I intended to!
OK, I wanna loose 10 to 15 kilos (30 pounds?) to be in a better shape again. Go to work by bike again several times a week to get some fresh air etcetera. Oh yeah, eat less DROP! Now that's a real punishment! Now I eat/chew licorice roots. Wooden droptaste sticks. Zoethoutwortel in Dutch. Helps and I like the taste of it... Tastes like the tea I sent (?) you. Did I? I believe I did. Zoethout thee...

I am trying to trade some of my surplus days for a new laptop. What should I buy? A Dell of a HP Compaq? Or..? The one I am using now is a DB (Dead Body) that belonged to my boss' daughter and she really demolished this laptop. Electric system sometimes doesn't work, LAN card broken (put in a wireless pcmcia), floppy drive demolished etc.

An gonna check on todays news, talk to you later...

C, did you get my reply on the Youtube mail?

Going mad!

We are slowly going mad at work. People keep dumping their 'shit' on our desks and we keep piling up that shit. Having to choose what NOT to do is our daily routine.
I am starting to SPIT out loud something that their NOT used to.

My collegue and I made up a list of things that have to change for us so that we can do the stuff that we're supposed to. I think that next week will be the time to discuss our list and our salary.

Shoot me I am innocent!

Heading for Xmas

So it's getting to that time of year again...
Being with the family whole days stuffing your face with lots of food and drinking far too much beer, wine or whatever containing alcohol. The last part is what sounds good to me now. I am not turning into an alcoholic. Don't worry! I was one by birth! Haha!

It's not that I focus on the drinking all the time. I've just come to enjoying the better drinks now that I earn some more money than I did over the last 7 years or so. Saving up some cash too. Not getting to real pleasure saving etc. but building a financial buffer and trying to get to the point where my Lady can learn to drive. She often dreams that she can drive and she would really like to learn because she wants to be ready for the moment when something happens to me. She wants to feel independent!

Alas, back to Xmas. The true spirit of Xmas... Where did it go?
It is turning into an event that forces people to thightly plan the days of joy because more and more people split up. End relations! So more and more people have to plan Xmas to be with dad on one day, mom on the other or the in-laws on one day, or with friends, etcetera.
Don't get me wrong, I love my mum and dad and my in-laws too. But people can really stress up from real life but stress up even more around Xmas because of the planning part.

Relax! Think of the true spirit of Xmas. Peace on earth in every man!

On the other hand there are people that you would want to be with at Xmas but you can't anymore! Let's think of those people at Xmas too! Remember them for who they were or who they could have been if they would have ever lived. Thinking about my grandparents, C's dad and our unborn baby boy Julian...

Peace and Love!

Accountants

Had my first encounter with our accountants and it wasn't too bad so far.

The one I knew already left almost immediately because he thought my collegue, who is with early retirement, would be in for the salary department. Our CEO didn't notify him about that and I wasn't informed about it.

The one accountant that stayed was new to me and to the firm. Bianca, a woman, with some indonesian blood in her vains. Much better to look at than Bartho (the man that left). ;-)
Much easier to talk to also...

This is what I worried about last weekend. So, I guess I better stop that!

Have to get ready for the Xmas celebration of Romy in our church...
